DESPERATE IN KY!!! BC/BS OF IL

This is my first blog but here goes.. I have wanted this for ten years. BMI 45. Getting Deperate. Heard of south of border places that will do surgery for cheap. I am a RN I KNOW BETTER!!! BUT I AM DESPERATE. When I called my husband's insurance they said it is "excluded". No surgery/treatment with obesity as a diagnosis. HELP ME!!!!! PLEASE, anybody!!

 I have been a LPN for 10 years and will graduate with my BSN this fall, guess what? I do know better----some places in Mexico are better than the dumpy hospitals in the US!  It pays to do your research. You are highly unlikely to win an exclusion and if you do it will take months and months and you need to hire Gary to do it. Look at Dr. Rumbaut and think real hard about how long you want to drag this out before you get to surgery.  I waited for over 10 years because the surgeon in my old home area was someone I had taken care of's patients on the floor after RNY, and did CPR on several! I was not letting that surgeon touch me! I figured I'd take my chances rather than know my chances of dying at home! You can always finance your surgery. I wish you the best of luck for I have been in your shoes. Bonnie
