ok, I had my EKG done at local hospital, they have no report/results.  Dr needs report.  INsurance has paid claim to hospital.... question, now what?  do I have it done again, who will pay?  will insurance pay for it again, or is HOspital responsible? what do I do now?

Hospital is responsible. Get them on the line and tell them since they have already charged you and could not provided the results, it is FRAUD and they have to repeat it at no cost.  It's amazing how that word gets action!  Do not let them double charge your insurance, they could but it is WRONG even though your insurance will pay. Hospitals are required to record the things they do to patients. The way it works is if it is not documented, it is not done. Then you can call your insurance and tell them they were frauded too. Correct, hosp is responsible. They owe you a free test. I would be asking for a copy of the test to take with me as I left the office / hospital, that way if it is lost again you would at least have your copy. If they say anything about having to make you a copy tell them this.  Kim B
