Arkansas BC/BS???

Can anyone help who has tried to get AR Bc/Bs to cover WLS?  It says that all we need is a written approval for any WLS?  I am just wondering how hard it is, and has anyone done got ok'd.  We just purchased this new policy, and are cancelling our insurance from my husbands employer, because this is a much better policy and alot less expensive.  Also, can you tell me how long I should wait before trying to get an approval for surgery.  Being that we just purchased it?  Any help @ all would be great.  Thank you
