Getting Individual insurance after WLS

Hello all, Well I've come through everything with great success I'm very happy to report.  My WLS was 3 years ago and I had my plastic surgery 1 year ago.  (All self pay!)  Now I am trying to get an individual high deductible health insurance plan in Virginia and I'm finding out that I am being immediately disqualified because I had gastric bypass surgery!  Now that I'm probably more healthy than the average person I can't get insured - before I was morbidly obese and couldn't get insured - what's the deal???   Anyway does anyone know of an insurer in Virginia who will underwrite a health policy for someone after gastric bypass?  Please let me know.
