Ok I tried to read through numerous threads about Aetna and the sleeve so I wouldn't ask a redundant question. I see there are many people getting approved for the sleeve with other insurances. I haven't seen anyone (mayb I missed it) get approved for VSG w/o havin anything that would prevent them for getting RNY (NSAIDS, crohns disease, etc). Just people that just wanna get it cause it seems like the best choice. Anyone have any luck? A success story would make me feel better lol

I have BCBS of Michigan PPO.  VSG is a covered service if your BMI is 50 or over.  My doctor had to get an exception for me as my BMI is 43 but I cant have RNY or DS for medical reasons.  There was no problems getting the approval.  If you have any questions just email and I would be happy to answer them.  Good luck
