insurance vs. loans

Well, i had my consultation yesterday and my surgeon is so confident that I am going to get approved that he has already started me on the diet. My insurance pays all excepted like 10% of the surgeon's fees which will be around $1,100. Has anyone ever done a loan for that amount and is there any recommendations for a loan company? I'm in the process of rebuilding my credit now...

Thanks!

Do you have an FSA or can you get one at work? They will reimburse/pay the money up front, and you can make payments from paycheck deductions.

I agree with the previous poster, try to use a FSA if possible. If not, I think your best option is going to be a credit card. Hopefully you can find something that is low interest and use that card only for this purpose, and try to get it paid off asap. Good luck!
