I'm almost 6 months out and having trouble learning to eat normally which is harder as I keep kosher. My internist sent me to the nutrition clinic at Maimonides Hospital which is local, very good and caters to a frum population but has a lot of gastric by-pass experience. They suggested Landau's whole wheat crackers which are high in protein and dietary fiber. Constipation is an issue for me so I'm rather glad of that. They aren't big on protein supplements---goal is to eat regularly which I agree with

CarboRite from Carbolite has an OU-D a protein shake mix. It is a bit high in carbs... 8 grams. My doc wants one with less than 5 grams, but will ask.. Cindy
