POLL: How much in your 1st fill (4cc band)

Hey everyone, I am fresh at home from my first fill. Fortunately so far so good. My dr. did use the fluroscope so even though my port was angled a bit, he was able to get it with only 2 jabs. I was so thankful. How many cc's did everyone get with their first fill? I left with 2.4 ... which seemed like a lot! I hope it works out well, as he informed me he is out of town until next Friday! I have a VG band and I only got 1cc on my first fill. I got .25 on my second fill and I could actually feel the saline going through the tubing it was kind of cool. I go back again at the end of this month.

What size is your band? I have 1.8 in my 4 cc band after one fill and have good restriction. I will probably get told by someone that this is all wrong (please don't anyone!) but my doc originally put in 2 cc and then asked me to eat a yoghourt. I had four spoons and felt uncomfortable so he took it out and put in the 1.8. I am now absolutely fine (nearly 3 weeks later) with what I think is perfect restriction. The restriction I had immediately was the same I have now - no delay for it to "kick in" or tightness while swelling subsided. But we all seem to be so different; even with the same size bands! Thanks Kate! Oh ... have you tried any beer yet? I think that beer in your neck of the woods is less carbinated ... so I was just curious! I miss my stout! Allison

hi allison, you are going to find that you absolutely cannot compare. i had 1 cc in my 4 cc band and it was too tight. i had it removed back in jan. and rested my tummy for 5 weeks and now have .5 cc"s total , and i am still, in july, a little on the tight side. hugs, sally

I got 1 cc at my first fill and that added to the 1 cc he gave me at the time of surgery, so I ended up with 2 cc when I left. I have since been given another .50. Have a great day!! Robyn

2cc in my 4cc band. I go again end of August.

I got 1.8cc's from Dr. C four weeks out (three weeks ago) I have a 9.75 cm band. He said he usually puts 2 cc's in the 10 cm band. I'm thinking I may go back for another .5-1.0 in a few weeks. I have some restriction, just not sure if a little more would be better. There is a learning curve here!

3.6cc in a VG Band. I have zero restriction. 2nd fill coming up on tuesday.
