OT: Am I the ONLY person in the world....

who absolutely HATES to shave her legs? 

Me Me Me..I hate it too!!! Maybe it'll get better the skinnier I get...but I just don't think so....It just takes too much time and effort..lol

Definitely not!!! I can't stand shaving my legs. I am glad it is coming up on winter because I will be shaving them a lot less often.  At my first consultation with my dr they had me put on a robe and take off everything but my bra and underwear. I said, you are kidding right. I almost died. Here I am seeing Dr Handsome and I haven't shaved my legs in months  I was so embarrassed and rambling on and on that the nurse felt sorry for me and gave me a paper sheet to cover my legs. When the dr came in, I begged and pleaded with him to please not look at my legs. He says, Oh, they can't be that bad. I said, seriously, it is long enough to braid...lol. He started laughing and gave me a hug and told me if I would just relax, he would not look at my legs..lol. I have shaved them for every appt since then and he has not looked at them once. Isn't that the way things always go? Robyn

Isn't it funny that we are so careful with our personal grooming just to visit the doc? lol   I luckily happen to be an allmost hairless person.  I only have to shave my underarms every few months (very few hairs) and I haven't shaved my legs in years. Nothing there.  Course the downside is I don't have much on my head either.

LOL....just made me think of something my daughter recently said. She is 12 and just started shaving this summer. She said to me the other day, "Mom, do you have to shave your legs in the winter, nobodys gonna see them!"

me too! The fact that I dont wear skirts or have a man around means I dont shave everyday! Lets move to Europe!

Your remark about moving to Europe reminds me of a woman we had in the swimming program at Red Cross back in the early 90's.  She was a military wife and was just back from living in  Europe for about 3 years if I remember correctly.  Anyways she was interested in becoming certified to be a swim instructor and was taking classes while helping in classes as an aide.  Well, she shows up with private hair showing!  Was told to either shave or else wear shorts   She also had long underarm and leg hair.  Remember this was SUMMER!  then she came while having TOM and no tampon! Was told to stay out of the water.  Her answers to all of this was that IT'S NATURAL AND THE KIDS WILL HAVE TO LEARN ABOUT IT ANYWAYS.  Besides, they didn't shave in Europe she said!  Needless to say she never appeared to be brilliant!   There are other things she did but I don't care to recall them!  Anyways at the end of the summer we had a Red Cross party and her hubby showed up.  Later the head WSI told us that this woman's husband approached her and she was thinking Uh Oh, trouble!  But he thanked her for telling his wife to shave and cover up.  No telling where this woman is now, but I figure her hubby is retired from the Armed Forces and now has to sit around looking at her long long armpit hair??

I'm there!  LOL...as I was sitting there nekkid from the waist-down, I looked down and saw this little cluster of about fifteen long, black, bristle brush hair on my thigh.  I sat and pulled those suckers out!  ONE BY ONE!!!!!!!!!!    PAIN!
