Is hot chocolate clear?

OK, I know I'm reaching here, but I'm PMS'ing and I'm still on clears and I really want some chocolate. So is the SF Hot Coco made with water considered a clear? Thanks Kris

Technically it probably isn't "clear" but I cannot see how it would hurt anything. (but then that's me and you should do whatever your surgeon says!)

Kris, I was thinking the same thing the other night. It is really cold lately and a nice cup of SF hot chocolate would have done just the trick. But like you, I passed. I see the Nut on Thursday so I am hoping to move to mushies? How about you? When do you start mushies?

Hi, I don't start mushies until I'm 6 weeks out. Seems like a long time to wait but at least I'll be able to do full liquids including soups and the SF hot coco.. I did call my doc office and they said NO to the hot coco. I'm going to give it my best shot, but if push comes to shove and I'm debating over a piece of candy or the hot coco i'm going with the coco. Kris

Are you on clear liquids or full liquids? I was sent home from the hospital on full liquids and SF Hot Cocoa would fall into that food list. Good luck!

Clear liquids for 2 weeks, then full's for 4 weeks then mushies for 6 weeks. I can hold off, but if push comes to shove, I'll choose the hot coco over the candy bar

Hey Kris, I ended up having a cup of SF hot cocoa when I was supposed to be on clears. I didn't do it daily, but did it as a treat to get something other than broth, water and popsicles in my system. Though I don't see that as a clear, I did it anyway....call your nut or docs office to see if they will let you have one for a treat..... Good luck, Kristen
