Holy freakin crap. I have spent $30 getting candy for Halloween so far. I spent $13 last week but used it ALL for the Trunk-or-Treat saturday night so today I had to go back and get more for the kids who trick-or-treat tonite.
2 bags of Tootsie Roll Pops
1 bag of Mixed Flavor Bubble Gum
1 bag of Reeses Mini Peanut Butter Cups (mine!)
3 bags of Mixed Candy Bars
1 bag of Hershey Bars
1 bag of Candy Corn (candy jar in living room)
1 bag of Kraft Caramels (melted for apples)
Of course, I have to admit that I did consume a whole bag (over the course of 4 days!) of the new chopped peanuts mini reeses peanut butter cups. I'm telling you that if it wasn't for making sure I got 100 oz of water and took a walk everyday I KNOW I would of gained some weight. Naturally I haven't lost any either....I guess maintaining during a holiday is better then gaining....
So....how much did you spend?
Happy Halloween!!!
Tammy
I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes. I am out of control and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst...then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ---Marilyn Monroe
Good Heavens!!! How many kids do you get coming round???? Shops and the TV try to make kids here enthusiastic about trick or treating but it is not actually an English thing so we may get one group coming round but not many. Maybe they get more in the big housing estates where there are quiet roads and lots of kids.
In the North of England, when i was a child we had Mischief Night on Nov 4th which was when we would play tricks on people but not ask for any gifts but US style trick or treating only came here when we got lots of US kids TV programmes. Like we suddenly have shops full of pumpkins to make lanterns - as a child we used big turnip lanterns for Guy Fawkes Night on Nov 5th but not for Hallowe'en.

Ok I spent 7.00 on 1 bag of mixed M &Ms 86 pieces for my daughters trunk or treat last night. We came home with about 200 pieces of candy
. And now this morning my friend has dropped off about 40-50 of the king size bars of snickers,kit-kat hersheys,ETC.
WTF am I gonna do with that crap.
I need to be strong until the last little trick or treater leaves than I will DUMP THAT EVIL CANDY
DAMN EVIL CANDY

Did my shopping at Sam's, really big big bags... I figure a lot will be hijacked by my teens and their friends.
2 giant bags mixed with chocolate bars 9.00 each 18.00
2 boxes of granola bars 8.00 each 16.00
bag of jelly bellies (couldn't resist) 3.00 3.00
2 bags of skittles 5.00 5.00
some of this is going to "Hallelujah" night, and alternative we host games and loot bags for the kids at chuch.
$42.00!!! Yikes, plus 6 toy/treat bags for my Daycare kids!
I'm glad it's going tonight, I ate 5 mini bars last night, I forgot how great 100 grand bar tasted!!! I ate raw broccoli for lunch to make up for that.

Not a penny. My daughter is 14 and going out with my sister, niece and nephews. My street is pretty quiet and I haven't had any trick or treaters in the two years we've lived here so I just bought extra nutragrain bars. I figure if we do get someone they can have something healthy.

Exactly ZERO.
The first year we were in our house, we decorated, bought a lot of candy and little toys, sat out on the front step and gave it all away
. . . then had our decorations stolen and our house and car egged.
Since then,I refuse spend one nickel on the ungrateful brats in our neighborhood. Instead, my husband and I go out and spend the $ on ourselves. Too bad that all the kids have to be punished.
$1.99....Skittles cause I can't stand them....and if anyone catches me at home I'll give them out...if not, then I'll take them to work and get rid of them that way....probably the latter since I haven't turned on any lights in my house and I'm about to leave for the gym........and thankfully we have a curfew in this town and the kids have to be off the street no later than 9..........I really can't stand this "holiday."
Good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them but you always know they're there.

Love,
Christine
