anyone else have trouble eating these things? scrambled eggs get stuck every time I try them. and I can eat certain things juat fine, but if I reheat them as leftovers the next day.. it's a no go.. I think that is really weird.

Hello Cathy!

That is totally not weird.

Leftovers are impossible, especially meat. Microwaves dry out everything. Bread is not my friend either.

I've had to become a picky eater. But, I don't see anything wrong with eating more salmon and less steak, as long as I'm healthier for it ~:->

Cathy, I have not had luck with scrambled eggs since I tried them post op.  They are just like rubber and anything rubbery does not work for me.  The only leftovers I have luck with is refried beans. I was just telling my hubby that whereas before surgery we used to eat various meats (steak, hamburger, pork, breast meat) that now we just don't eat it at all or as much.  The main things we can handle are seafood, chicken wings and legs, and an occasional piece of steak done rare.

So far so good for me. I have had scrambled eggs and leftovers with no problems. Leftover Wendy's chili, also. I ususally buy 2 and save one for the next day. I reheat it and eat it without incident. Of course I am only 3 weeks postop and I do not have any fill yet.

Hi, Cathy - scrambled eggs are a problem if they are dry. Try adding milk and cottage cheese, and cooking lightly. Or maybe try a soft boiled egg or a poached egg instead. Leftovers can dry out when they are re-nuked. Wrap them in saran wrap, add a couple tsp of water, and microwave. that softens the food and kind of "steams" it. Band eating just takes practice! Keep the faith! Sandy R

try adding a little milk to the scrambled eggs.  This makes them less rubbery break down better when chewing.  Diane H.

Bridget always says she can only eat egg beaters not eggs.  I am beginning to believe her.  My 4th fill has me really tight and I think today i will stop trying to fight this lovely restriction.  I want it but still want to eat the food I fix.  Left overs used to be my favorite too but most are too tough now for me too.

I have totally given up trying REAL eggs.  Egg Beaters are the ONLY scrambled egg or omelet-type egg I will eat.  Altho' with my lack of restriction right now, I am sure I could swallow a whole hard-boiled egg with NO problem!

I too have trouble with real scrambled eggs but surprisingly no issues at all with egg beaters scrambled with laughing cow cheese. Leftovers depend on how they are reheated, nothing in the microwave for me but steaming things always works. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!

I bought some laughing cow low fat swiss today.  I will try it in the eggbeaters this week.  Thanks for the advice.
