How does your body know to stop losing??

Question - I am at goal and down about 110 lbs.  I am still 170 and  would stil like to lose a little more.  People keep asking me "well how much do you want to lose?" - "don't get too thin" I think I am far from that point and not worried but my question is how does your body know when to stop?  How does it know its a good place or weight? Sound crazy?  Just curious...

Ahhhhh, finally a problem I wish had my name on it....If I ever get too thin I will let everyone know..I am not sure about this except you  can unfill the band completely and you will be able to eat more. Hopefully then the weight loss will stabalize. I havent made it goal yet so I dont know for sure...

Yeah....I hope I have the same question some day.   Maybe a slight unfil to allow you to eat enough calories to maintain?

When you get down to goal and you don't want to lose more, your doc can do a slight unfil so you can eat a bit more to maintain, instead of lose.  I would assume that when you get down to the last few lbs., you rate of loss will be very slow, so it should be east to regulate it.  Blessings, Ron

As weight loss with the band isn't due to something like malabsorption (which pretty much automates loss for a good part of it for folks with those procedures), this is not a real concern for bandsters. We control loss with the band...the band doesn't control it. Nancy
