Ok, I've put this post off but I'm open to hear answers

Tell me what you are eating.....

I notice that when I eat carbs, I don't loose.  I also go through this thing where I will loose about 10lbs then stop loosing for a few weeks, then I start again.  My body needs time to catch up.  I hate it, but everyone's body deals with things differently.  I know you don't want to hear that, but maybe you are taking some thing in that your body says nope not gonna loose or it just needs to catch up.

This is what I would do, look at what you are eating and change it. Make sure you get enoungh water in (I know you said you get enough, but add in 12 ounces more) and add about 15-30 minutes of some exercise in a day, if you don't have time, just try to park as far away from any building you need to go into, it helps.

I know you also don't wanna here this, but please remember you are doing great and it is not a race.  You are going to go through times when you are going to platue and it is going to suck, but you keep working at it and it will be ok.  One day at a time.  Also sometimes stressing out about not loosing makes it even worse so relax, and try to take it easy, it will start droping again soon!  Please hang in there!

Thanks for your feedback and support Chastity.  My diet consists of 4 grain servings, 2-3 protein, 2 milk, 3 fats and 6-7 fruits/ veggies per day. Breakfast was coffee with skim milk, followed 1/2 hour later by one slice of mutligrain toast with peanut butter. 500 mL of water in the morning Lunch was 100 grams of ham, 1 serving of Triscuits crackers, low-fat/low-sugar chocolate pudding (1/2 cup) 500 mL of water in the afternoon. Supper was 100 grams of ham, protein bar (250 calories) and 1/2 cup of corn niblets. I stll have 3 fruit servings left. Normally I don't eat ham as I know that can lead to water retention  - I have had ham the last 2 days.

I think your better off eating the ham than the triscuts.  I would not worry about the water retention, if you are drinking enough water you will not retain.  You are taking in alot of carbs.  Also try switching some of the fruit servings for veggies if you can, that will help.  Sugar is a carb so you have carbs in your milk, toast, pudding, protien bar, and corn.

Do you use a tracking website for your food, www.fitday.com, is free and will tell you your nutritional values for the food you are eating, maybe tweaking that a little will help.  Looks to me like you are not getting enough protein and too many carbs... It helps me to stay away from breads and crackers all togethers. It is really hard sometimes.  I fall off the band wagon once and a while, and I start tracking again and it really helps.

Please remeber to hang in there, sometimes a small change will do it.

This is what I have for a day.

B- 3/4 Kashi Go Lean cereal with 1/4 cup fiber one cereal and a 1/2 cup skim milk

L- 1 egg with 1 slice of cheese and a large slice of tomatoe

Snack- 1 piece of fruit

D- salad with some lean protein.

I only eat 1 snack and I try to make it either a fruit or a veggie or some nuts.

I hope this helps!  Good luck!

Krista,

I'm doing good to get in 1 serving of fruit and 1, maybe 2 servings of veggies in a day. I went a long time with NO fruit. You don't have to have fruit, you can get all your nutrients in veggies. I would skip the protein bar too. You're on real food, and you can get more protein with less calories in other ways. Add a hard boiled egg, low-fat string cheese, or more solid protein for your dinner.

Krista:  I was banded on August 1st.  I quickly lost 22 lbs.  After that I haven't lost anything.  Its been 2 weeks.  I tried low calories (600) but was getting light headed.  I am at around 1000 per day.  I exercise daily.  I am still losing nothing.  I can definitely relate.  I do see a dietician and am planning on asking him the same question.  I will let you know what he says.  Hopefully we'll have a losing streak soon!

Hugsssssssssss  Krista!! I have been wondering the same thing about the lack of weight loss. I hear so many success stories so i think we just have to be patient. I had my first fill on Tuesday but with no restriction (they gave me 5cc in my 10cc band). That is another thing we hear. We have to get enough fills for restriction. I have been so good with my diet and walking and still nothing.  So I am not sure if this will make you feel better or more depressed but.... i haven't lost anything in 40 days. Debbie

Thanks Debbie ~ a hug always helps. I guess my problem is that I feel like here I am dieting up a storm before I get restriction and I would like to see better results. It's nice to know I'm not alone. I appreciate your reply and everyone else's. I'm glad I posted now as it helps to talk it out and hear directly from others so I don't have to face this alone.

Krista,   THIS MAY BE KIND OF PERSONAL, BUT....UMMM..ARE YOU POOPING ON A REGULAR BASIS? I FIND THAT IF I AM NOT REGULAR, I STALL IN MY WEIGHT LOSS.  A LITTLE MILK OF MAGNESIA USUALY BREAKS MY PLATEAU FOR ME.  JUST AN I DEA!  DON'T WORRY, WHEN I GOT TO ABOOUT 50 POUNDS LOST, I STAYED THE SAME FOR A MONTH BEFORE I STARTED LOSING AGAIN,  DON'T KNOW SHY, BUT IT HAPPENS.  I ALSO CAN NOT EAT 1200 CALORIES A DAY.  I DON'T LOSE.  I HAVE TO KEEP IT AT 1000 OR LESS.  THAT IS THE TRADE OFF FOR NOT GETTING OFF MY LAZY BUTT AND EXERCISING AT ALL. HOPE THAT HELPS.  TAKE A LAXATIVE ALREADY! SUGGAH
