You lose weight like going down a staircase.  You drop, then stop, drop them stop.  No one rolls at a continuous pace the WHOLE way down.   You're going to plateau here and there - it's bound to happen.  It's frustrating and it sucks, but you'll move forward and lose the weight.

The reason we tell you that weight loss before a fill is a BONUS, is because it's true. And for whatever reason, we just don't lose on a regular basis. You're going to have weeks that you just don't lose. I wish I knew the answer.

But but but if I am eating 1200 calories or less, how can I not lose? I was losing on WW before the band. That's the part I can't wrap my little noggin around. How can I be eating much less and not losing? You know I'm a fan of yours Nancy so I am really trying to listen. To all of you!

I wish I knew sweetie...it's happened to me too. All I can tell you is that you WILL be eating less after you get restriction, and you WILL lose. I don't know why your body is hanging on to the weight. I've had some really LONG plateaus, for no known reason. I eat far less than anyone in my office, and I have the most struggles.

Well, honey, I lost 11 pounds before my 6 week check up!~ You may not want to hear it, but it MAY take (3-5) fills to get restriction, and when your body loses weight, and it isn't used to it, it may stall to catch up with itself, known as a dreaded(plateau)!~ Have you measured to see if you're losing inches?! So calm down, and have PATIENCE, please?!

I hate getting stuck on a number.  I was stuck for 6 weeks, and I upped my fiber with veggies and beans and lost 10 pounds in a week.  Don't know if that was what did it, but something changed.  Fiber and water...and I ain't scared of you at all!!!

Thanks for the advice debann. What about refried beans? Would they be a good choice for fibre?
