Ok, I've put this post off but I'm open to hear answers

After your post and mine... I've come to one conclusion.. I have NO FRIGGIN' IDEA!!  Could be exercise (except I'm exercising... and not losing).. so there goes that theory.. although.. the initial START of exercise (hiking on vacation) did cause me to lose a few lbs there...  but now -nada. Could be WHAT we're eating. Could be amount of calories (too much or too little).  I'm going with good ol' fashioned karma. I must have done something evil lately, and this is my cosmic retribution.

Hey there Krista, I hear the frustration in your note.  Glad you shared.   Here is the first thing I thought about while reading your post..... have you ever watched "Biggest Loser"?  I have been a fanatical watcher over the past three years.   Those folks start out big.... diet and exercise LIKE CRAZY..,.. and then weigh in front of God and everyone.  It has been an amazing thing to see that sometimes, despite eating low-cal and exercising themselves to death.... sometimes people go several weeks losing very little... or even gaining.   I don't know why.... it just happens.   So, given the fact that no one else in the world has the time to do all of that focused exercising... and eating healthy..... we will probably lose weight even slower. I think if you try out some of the other suggestions listed above you will get there. Its disheartening when you have been trying so hard! Keep your chin up, Wendi

Krista, my fellow Canuck - I had to look twice to make sure you were writing this post!!!!  You have been answering other people for months and you are so down to earth and practical.  You always gave great advice even though you were not yet banded.  You know what you have to do - be patient, quit weighing yourself so much and then be patient some more.  It is going to all of a sudden start coming off again.  I absolutely promise!!!!  My loose lips are telling you that you will lose! Mary - down 90 with 11 to go!

Thanks Mary Mac ... I'm trying to be reasonable when it comes to myself. Talking it through with all of you  truly helped me today. I am really glad I reached out for words of advice rather than sitting here being all grumped out.

Krista: Lets get this out of the way............................You arent loosing weight? Is it your TOM? Your body is healing..............LOL. I didnt read all the replies you got so hopefully I am not reiterating what someone else said. I lost 17lbs right away on liquids. As soon as I started mushies there was a complete halt to the weight loss. I was eating very few calories too. When I got onto solid food the weight gradually started coming off...especially after good restriction.  I have noticed this pattern in many many people on this board. The good news is no matter how slow the weight loss was..I never gained one single pound back. (not including your fav subject TOM and water retention.) I really think our bodies have to adjust and are in shock. The weight does come off...75lbs later I swear that it does.

Thanks Lenora :) You make me smile .... so many things about this post make me smile. Thank you for understanding how I feel, providing supportive words, a chuckle or three and proof positive that the band works.   You're awesome.

I am in the same place you are Krista. I lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks and have been bouncing the back and forth by 2 lbs for the past 2 weeks (almost 3 weeks now.)
I am averaging about 1000 calories a day too, and while I am not as perfect about food as you have been, but I am trying hard. Even my cheats are counted in my daily calories.
So I have no answers but I do feel for you because I know it is frustrating, and irritating and plain old annoying. I hope it ends soon for both of us.

Thanks Sheli - it does help knowing I'm not alone. There are so many ppl here that have done so well.I know we will join them as well.  Just a rough couple of days but the support here has been amazing and I'm blessed to have so many friends here, like you, to offer me a leg up when I'm down.

HI Krista Girl-- I want you to know that I track what I eat also and range between 1100 to 1300 cal per day depending.  I don't lose weight each week.  Sometimes I don't lose for weeks then I drop 4-5 pounds quickly.   our bodies are funny little things and have minds of their own.  I wouldn't worry about what the scale says, I would think about how you feel and take your measurements.  I few weeks back I wrote a post asking if someone would be upset if they played with the same 2 pounds for weeks... I wasn't upset becuase in that timeframe that I gained and lost the same 2 pounds, I lost 2.5 inches off of my hips!!  Go figure!!  I was the same weight but got smaller. The scale is not the only barometer of your body changing. Much love-- Susan
