I'm dealing with the same issue right now.  I'm going through the process for all of this right now.  Around mid-October, I will be done with all my appointments and such. I want to do my surgery during a "vacation" and not take sick time. I work with some very nosey judgemental people and don't want to hear this B.S. I'm hoping I can get scheduled after the first of the year.  If I "have" to have my surgery before the end of the year, I think I'm going to say it's for a hernia operation or something. Anyone else have any other better ideas? Some of my friends know already, some are intriqued, some are passing judgement...

No, seriously....just tell them you are having a procedure, nothing serious. Do the really need to know anything specific?

UH.... I am a lawyer, so it is all about the questions, which just makes me think less is always more when people ask me questions. ;)

Thank you guys for making me feel better.  I am still a bit pissed but I guess I'll get over it.  The stupid thing is the woman who asked me this I never even met before last night.  I do think she was raised on Jerry Springer.  Well, at least I can take comfort in looking pretty good these days...
