For me getting down the veggies/fruits have been difficult since the beginning so I do avoid them. I can eat salad and enjoy it very much.  I know we are supposed to avoid soft food, so my question to you all is..... Are we supposed to sort of force ourselves to get down the stuff that is difficult, although good for us?  If we do, will we get used to it? I know when I do, I am fuller longer....Whats your take on this? Have a wonderful day

Hi Angie,
I never force myself to do anything if I know it's going to cause problems for me later on.

I figure as long as I am getting in my daily nutrition it's going to be fine.

I love salads and eat those all the time.

I haven't had a lot of problems with veggies but the fruits I have a hard time.

I have to avoid the fruits that have skin inside or out. Such as pineapples and oranges. I can't seem to chew them well enough. Other fruits can be chewed very well if I peel the skin off, apples, peaches, plums. etc...

I too have issues with certain fruits and raw vegetables. I can' t eat any fruit that has a skin unless peeled. That goes for grapes as well, and I'll be damned if I'm going to peel grapes! LOL. I can eat almost all vegatables as long as they're cooked. I love salad and eat salad for either lunch or dinner everyday, but that's pretty much the only raw vegatable I can eat.  I also put low fat or reduced fat cheese in my salad, for protien.
