What do you eat for lunch?

I find I bring mushy stuff because I'm a bit tight still.  I cannot bring a leftover piece of chicken breast, for example, because reheating it in the microwave spells disaster!  Just wondering what some of your ideas are? I have been thinking about trying a salad with some cold meat on it or tofu but I haven't yet.  I stay with chili, chicken salad, as of lately, about 1/2 cup of egg salad.  Sometimes just soup which I know doesn't help me stay full. My usual lunch is crab salad, tuna salad, lunch meat with a little cream cheese rolls, salad with mostly some type of meat( chicken, crab, turkey)or shrimp if I am at home and have time.  Sometimes Wendy's chili if I am out of town. chrissy

Hi Karen When I have left over chicken, I bring soup at hand (some sort of cream soup,...mushroom, asparagas or chicken)  I heat the soup very well and add the chicken. It keeps the chicken from drying out. I also bring salad with cold chicken or gorgonzola cheese for protein. I also like tuna salad. I think we all tend to stay with chili, or tuna/chicken/egg salads. 1) it is easy 2) it is safe while we are eating away from home. Good luck

I have a really great Weigh****chers Turkey Chili recipe that I love. About every 2 weeks I make a double batch then separate it into small microwavable servings. i just pull it out of the freezer in the morning and stick it in the micro at lunch and it is yummy, and fills me up. Here is the recipe. 1- pound ground turkey (I get the extra lean) 1- cup chopped onion 1- cup chopped celery ( I leave out the celery because my band doesn't like it) 4- cans any beans ( I use kidney) 1- pkg. chili mix 1- pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing 1 to 2 TBL of crushed garlic ( I just use some garlic seasoning) 1- can mild green chilies 1- can diced tomatoes Brown ground turkey, onion and celery Add all other ingredients and simmer on low untill onion and celery are soft. Enjoy with ff cheese and ff or lowfat sourcream Amanda

The chili recipe sounds great, but I am having a blonde moment...lol  Where does the broth come from, I wouldnt think the beans had enough to make the chili????  Let me know, because I am gonna make it tomorrow, sounds yummy!

It's ok...I have the blonde moments too and I'm a redhead!!  I think the tomatoes would have enough juice to make some broth.  Just my thoughts.  I sometimes add tomato soup to my chili when I make it.....thinking geez...I haven't made homemade chili since I've been banded!!
