Update on band

Well, the surgeon said it has to come out. :-( The infection can't heal with it in there. He said that if I have stomach tissues strong enough while I'm in there he will do a bypass while I'm open. We'll see what he finds out. He said it will be an on the fly decision. I signed the consent for band removal with possible RNY revision. I am not sure how I feel about that so I have just been saying lots of prayers. I figured everything is out of my hands. I am praying that God lead my doctors to do what is the best for me and my health. Surgery will be either tomorrow or Thursday.

Laura, I am sorry to hear you have had problems with the band.  Do what is best for you.  Sometimes things work out for the best.  Let us know how you make out, o.k. My prayers are with you..........Holly

I'm sorry you are having to go through this. I pray your surgery goes well and you are able to revise to the RNY.
