Protein drinks and crystal light
I went to my required support meeting last week and the one bandster there said www.bariatriceating.com had wonderful protein choices. She was drinking the fuzzy navel flavor protein pack in a crystal light tea and said it was great. I went to the site and it is all somewhat pricey, but I am planning to try the sample pack they offer.
The Special K water was a bit weird tasing to me, but I can drink it if I really need the protein after surgery. I really like the Special K protein meal bar in the AM for Bfast... don't know if it will agree with me post-band either!?!?!?
Have a great weekend!

I bought from bariatriceating.com. They do have samples and I would recommend this before buying since everyone's tastes are different. I had tried some samples from them years ago and loved it so I just blindly ordered from them this time but I found them way too sweet - undrinkable for me. I got the cookies & cream, and the chocolate. So try samples first before commiting to buying..
at work we tried the K20 protein water packets. I found the strawberry-kiwi OK, but really liked the Pink Lemonade. I often throw in a packet of Emergen-C for Joint Health cause of issues with my joints-tangerine flavor, and always use more water than the package suggests. K20 packets are essentially a flavoring (like crystal like) a whey protein powder (like AnyWhey) and a quick dissolve fiber (like Benefiber). With enough trial and error, you could probably mix your own, but I go for the convenience of the packet. I also like to mix CIB s/f chocolate in with my coffee and a bit of skim milk for a warm cup of mocha.

You can add the unflavored Unjury to a lot of things. I have put it in a Starbucks Skinny Latte, yogurt, tea and hot chocolate. When you put it in a hot beverage you just have to wait a little until it is not really hot. Unjury sells a thermomter if you want to be exact. It actually makes some things creamier because it has milk product in it.
I like to put a couple packets of Splenda in my water. I don't like the "artificial" taste of crystal light & koolaid, but I do like a little more than plain water.
I started doing this a couple years ago, when I realized how sneaky restaurants were being with the soda prices. There was just no way I was going to pay almost $2 for a soda! I don't even like soda all that much. Water plus Splenda was free. My kids even like it.
If you have a lemon slice, it's even better. But that's just too much trouble for everyday drinking for me.

... to go until DH is taking me on a vacation that I couldn't do before! (Horses, camels... Who knows!)
