OT - Attention Wine Drinkers
Red wines tend to be very bold. Merlot's can be on the fruitier side but unless you get something like a Red Zinfandel (shivers) they are not really going to be sweet. There are some dessert wines out there but I never cared for them and there is such a thing as being too sweet. I would much rather have a Brandy as a dessert drink.
OK..I am kind of a drink snob but I don't drink a lot so I like quality over quantity.
white merlot by Sutter home or Beringer 6.99-8.99
Pinot Grigio by Santa Margarita 22.00 and up or Yellowtail 11.99
I prefer santa maragrita i don't really like dry wines but santa maragrita has a hint of sweetness but if you like sweet go for the white merlot its not real real sweet. you should check out your area for wine events so you can get a tatse and find one right for oyur pallet
Hooked on cheese and wine. the combination. I used to drink wine, but alone. I always heard of the combination but never tried it. Then one night I'm drinking a glass (I think a Coppola Rosso) and popped some cheddar or something in my mouth and WOW, they just went together so well. I was instantly a wine and cheese head.
wine is right up my alley
il moscato - is a white sparkling wine and is sweet and has a wonderful flavor, it is usually served with desserts but I love drinking in the evening without the dessert part.
Reisling whites are another good sweet wine
The Reds are more dry and less sweet so I probably would stay with a white wine
