It looks like you won't have your surgery until April 22nd. So you are on the pre-op diet now I suppose. My Nut. told me I could have beans once a day - only a 1/2 cup though, and way down the road when I am on a "regular" diet, she mentioned that I could have Wendy's chili. I would check with your Nut. about this for now. I imagine a serving of Wendy's is more than a 1/2 cup. I can't wait to be able to eat it myself. I have never had any, but it will be nice to have "something" from a fast food place.

Great news!  It's good for you & delicious too!  If you need some calorie counts & nut info. go to : dottisweightlosszone.com & they have a place you can click on resturants.  then click on Wendy's. You'll be surprised !  I was on weigh****chers & used to eat even at Poepyes : (their beans, potatosw/gravy & stuff is low points.

Sorry...I didn't realize you were pre op. I did enjoy the egg drop soup on my preop but ask your nut.

I always get a small Wendy's chili and have it with a slimfast.  Its 220 Calories for the chili but the cheese and onion adds another 70 CALORIES (its not worth that many to me!... and its all from the cheese!)  I heard it is pretty good on protein though b/c of the beans AND the meat (prob high in sodium though... ) My dietician said a small is ok. Also... if you like thier salad... today i just got a Mandarin Chicken salad with low fat honey mustard dressing and only added the almonds b/c i love em and it was 390 calories (minus 120 calories if you dont use the almonds though!) Just something else to keep in mind for Wendys as a good meal!

I have had the salad, but I am not big on the oranges so I took them out and I'am not big on dressing either, but that was good...Thanks!

They didn't really give me a pre-op diet other than liquids the day before...just sticking to low fat/carb high protein and smaller portions (and of course no drinking while eating and take tiny bites)......

You can get the low down here.

Hope this helps. I personally prefer the chilli from Burger King better. I like mine more chunky and less soupy though. Enjoy.
