Random thoughts form a 1 year post op (almost)
Hey Jewels (my band sib!) - nice to see you on the board. I too have not had a great first year with the band. I started out great, but round about May it all fell apart for me. I will blame 30% of the problem on my center - bad follow up, I didn't feel supported, etc. But the rest resides with Moi! I fought the band rules, I fought anything that remotely resembled a diet from about May/June on. I don't know why...I was in a mental rut. It wasn't fair, I had surgery, the band should do more for me, etc. . So after at least six months of this I finally realized this approach was not working for me! Oy! So I'm hoping the next year with band is better for me, and better for you too! Congratulations on your year!

Thanks so much for the post. I love it and can definitely agree with most everything you said! I like the part you edited to add. "I have laughed, cried, screamed, been completely joyous over my band" I'm glad i'm not the only one that seems to have every different emotion towards this thing haha. Congratulations on your 1 year!

It's good seeing you too! The learning curve is crazy. You can research like crazy pre-op - but once you have the surgery it's a whole different ball game.
It is hard having a 7 year old at home who needs snacks for school every day - they are pretty dang temptimg!!!!
