Random thoughts form a 1 year post op (almost)

You are right - it is one bickle fitch for sure.  Last night it was very bickle.  It was my son's b-day and he wanted Burger King.  I had 2 (yes 2) stupid chicken nuggets and puked at least 5 times on 2 nuggets.  I didn't like my band yesterday - but today she is ok since I'm on liquids!!

Amen Jewels - well said!!!  The band really has forced me to look at me and deal with life - not always easy.  I am a work in progress, sometimes I wonder where it will all end up.

Yep - we are all a work in progress and somedays we make a lot more progress than others!!!  And sometimes we make NO progress!!

I had no idea how much work this is. OMG !

I have NO regrets, but so much more wisdom in helping family and friends decide if this is the path they should take. After  how slow I have lost and the work I have put into it and the things I am denied , NOW, most everyone had decided against the band, lol

Just remember it takes a STRONG person to put up with all it's hormonal issues. I swear, there are days I can eat one thing and the next day I can't get that very same thing down without getting stuck . And damn !  I hate it when I get stuck in the first bites going out to eat, what a way to ruin a night out....
But , all in  all, 50lbs lost in the first year, to me, feels great. It's not as much as most people lose, but hey, if we do this 3 times ???  We're pretty much there, and all more for the better.
I think GOD made me lose it this slow because if I  had / have alot of learning to do with thisband and needed to build my relationship with it and I guess I am a slow lerner.

You are so right - an you know - my surgeon says it will take me 4 years.  So I try REALLY hard to keep that in mind - some days it's easier than others!

What a great post!!!  (((((Jewels)))))  I really need to heed your advice on the perky bra.  I don't even have any bras right now.  I call them boob covers, cuz that is all they are doing for me.

Also, cracked up BIG TIME on the "No matter how good you are doing there will always be someone losing weight faster than you.  You will want to hurt them, but don't."
