day 2 going on 3 post surgery...still MISERABLE
I went home from the hospital with Loratab...but by about the 3rd or 4th day didn't need it anymore..but I had that gas pain in my shoulder and such. Walking really does help that..so does a heating pad. It will pass...and get some rest. Don't try to do too much..and remember even though you had the least invasive kind of surgery, you still had a major procedure...rest..and don't try to overdo it.

See if the dr. will give you zofran for the nausea if the med you have isn't working. Zofran is for chemo patients, and I've seen others here who have taken it post op. I took it post op after a gyn procedure, and it worked like a charm.
Best of luck!

I DEFINITELY second the ZOFRAN recommendation!!! It is a wonder drug and will stop nausea in its tracks. Ask for a new prescription. Don't even worry if you have to get the generic. I took it and it worked WONDERS. Feel better. This IS going to pass!
Push back on your doctor. I had some nausea issues in the hospital and the first med didn't help so they tried another (I don't remember the names). Also, the liquid Roxcet for pain was so awful I couldn't stand to drink it but I got liquid Hydrocondone (I think) instead and it was ok.
I went slowly downhill in terms of feeling bad to day 5 where I barely managed 4-8 oz of fluid for the whole day and was sure I was going to have to go back in for IV fluids, etc. but I felt better (and was able to drink more) on day 6 and day 7 I felt 90% better and it was amazing how fast I turned the corner.
Hang in there!

My friend had nausea, she took immodium and said it helped tremendously.
Ask the doc to call you in something besides percocet..... I took liquid lortab and it helped a lot. I only took it the day of and the day after, though. My pain wasn't that bad. It gets better and better every day, hang in there. It'll be over before you know it.
