Halfway to Goal!
This morning I weighed myself and discovered that I am now 1lb. away from being halfway to goal!! I'm actually really starting to have the mindset that I'm really going to do this... that I'm really going to get down to my goal weight of 140 and that I'm really going to maintain it, and that I'm really going to run the 5k I've been training for in May!!!! Before I got banded, I would try to make myself believe that, but in the back of my mind, I had that little voice chuckling and saying "yeahhhh that's not gonna happen!". Overall, I just wanted to post to share my good feelings about my band and my journey so far. The scale rarely moves when I want it to, and I've been losing extra slow lately (I'm going in for my first fill April 6), but the weight is still coming off!

No problem! haha I guess it's hard to ever think that we will ever be at goal!!
I live in Hunterdon County... Somerville area. I go to school in Bloomsburg, PA right now though, so it's a pretty big hassle to go in for appointments right now!!! After I graduate in May I'll be back though... hopefully with a job! lol

I did feel restriction for a long while, and I still do when I eat dense protein, but it's been starting to fade fast!! I'm just trying to keep myself in check and keep my portions small even if I'm not really full after eating. I work out 5 times a week usually- elliptical and treadmill. Other than that I'm just sticking to our band rules! I can't wait for my first fill on April 6th... I'm not even nervous really, just anxious to know what real restriction is!

Congrats, Vicki! You are doing great ~ I'm a little jealous that I don't have the determination and willpower that you do....banded a week before me, and lost 51lbs without a fill!?!? That's awesome! It sure looks like you're going to to do the 5k & hit 140 goal in flying colors :-)
