Rash

Just a quick question. I think I know the answer but wanted to check.

I am a week post op and on day 2 I started developing a non itchy rash from inbetween my breasts to half way down my stomach. The rash has slowly spread all over my stomach. Only there, not on my back.
I was thinking it was a reaction to the pre op wash in the operating theater, although it has never bothered me before.

My incisions are healing nicely and I dont have any problems that I know of with the band.

Anyone have anything similar?
I will call the nurse at the surgeons office today but wondered about anyone else.

Ask your doc if you can take some Benydryl.

Do you have any tape on your incisions?  I am allergic to the plastic tape they use and have to remember to ask for paper tape.  Benadryl should help either way, but ask your doc to be safe.

Take care!

I think I had the same thing you are talking about. Like a fine light red rash mine was on my breast and side some also. If it is the same it went away after about a week the best I remember. I had to ask a friend who just had same surgery, and she had it also, so I just waited it out.

Thanks everyone

I took some Benadryl but no change.
It seems I may be allergic to the pre op wash or the glue they use on the incisions.
As it is not itchy and driving me crazy we are going to wait it out.
