Lap Band at Tufts Medical Center

Hi.

I also had my surgery at Tufts. The three surgeons in the practice are great. I had Dr. Tarnoff.

Overall it is a great practice, although I feel like it's not as good now as it was when I had my surgery. They've eliminated the small Lap Band support groups, they don't have an exercise physiologist anymore, and the office staff has been kind of a mess the last few times I've tried to get information from them.

Thanks, Sara.  But, medically-speaking, did you think they were top-notch, in terms of pre-op, the operation itself, and post-operative care?

Many thanks.

They are one of the best to the point of being literally award-winning. :P

I suppose it's really just the non-medical after-care that isn't as great as it used to be (the post-op medical care is still fantastic.)

That is great!  I think I've made my decision - Tufts!  Thank you!  I wish you continued success and all good things. :)

I also went to Tufts and agree with Sara.  While Charlene was out on maternity leave the office was very inflexible, but now that she is back, it's good again.  I've been avoiding the place since I am not the most successful bandster, but I love Dr. Shikora!!
