Abequa2000, ahhh, you should probably know the band has only been in the US since 2001.
Seriously, if you are going to create fake IDs you need to change your spelling errors and horrific grammar so you aren't so easy to pick out. ;o)
And fibbing to newbies trying to justify your own lack of research before having major surgery should land you in hell. The OP is trying to actually sort out her options, SHE is researching, something YOU did not do. SHE is not a bloody idiot.

She deactivated after that. It will be easy to pick her out when she comes back, she's the one that can't spell. ;o)

Wow Mary, you are getting an overload of information. But I think it is all good.
I love my band and have lost over a hundred pounds now. I do think it is possible to lose the 200lbs you are looking for on the band, but it will likely take longer than any of the other surgeries.
Choosing the right surgery is really important and a super personal decision. Read all the information you can. I did not know about the DS when I was choosing. I was torn between the G-bypass and the band. It took a lot of studying & praying. I probably over-obsessed. But hey, that's me. There's a book, Weight Loss Surgeries for Dummies (catchy title), that reviews all the surgeries & plus's/minus's.
If you have the insurance to do the DS or the bypass, the time to put in for the recovery (recovery is longer for those, but then lapbands need more followups), then research your surgeon and go for it. Support from family/friends is important for all surgeries. Your mom will fall in line with whatever you choose.
One of my coworkers is here on the Board. She just had the DS last month, was back to work in a few weeks & it's going great. Her WL will be faster & probably more than mine. I'm jealous about that. My decision was right for me. Hers was perfect for her.
Whatever surgery you choose will be perfect as long as you're making an informed decision for yourself.
Take care!

WHO EVER IS USING MY NAME TO POST CAN STOP I HAVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN FOR 2 MONTHS AND NOT ON HERE SO BELIEVE WHAT EVER YOU WANT THESE POST ARE NOT FROM ME SO JUST F*** OFF. AND BELIEVE WHAT YOU WANT.Face it, you got caught. Be an adult and get over yourself.
You do realize OH can see from your IP address if the sheer idiocy of your posts came from your specific computer, right? Sure you want to continue down this path?
Being dishonest to newbies who are actually trying to research their options vs. sitting their azz on a couch and doing no research at all - is a horror. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Guess who just deactivated? Our little bright one AND her fake troll ID. Weird coincidence, eh? They both spell the same, they are both unable to put a coherent sentence together, and they both deactivated at the very same moment!
Nahhhh, they aren't one in the same!
