Better success with revision?
Maddie,
That's called a BOB (band-over-bypass) revision. You might get more responses to your post if you change its title to something like: Success with band-over-bypass?
You could also try posting on the OH Revisions board.
Good luck,
Jean

Hi Maddie,
I just had BOB on 10/24. So far so good..I hjave lost 17 so far. I find it very different and feel alot so far is my own will power but feel so fortunate insurance allowed. I wuill not have fill for a few more weeks.
You sound like me...I did amazing for the first 3 years. I kinew something was wrong but my DR. was no longer in my plan and I could not go out of network. Kept feeling ...I can do this on my own. BIG mistake...should have found another DR. I lived by all the rules. Turned out the stoma was way tooo large.
The Drs that did the BOB said this is so common and they do the BOB more and more. I know I will lose slower and probably not get down to where I was but I'm ok with that!
Good luck....go talk to a Dr.....it feels so good to have control back!

Hi,
I had a BOB done on 10/11. I had about 50 lbs to lose that I had gained from my original loss of about 185lbs when I had RNY in 2005. I have lost 16lbs so far 30 more to be back at Goal again. My BOB was because of my stoma being enlarged too.
I don't have any fill and may not get one until later next year. I don't feel a difference in most situtaions, I think it has been more that the liquid, semi liquid, soft diet for so long has jumpstarted my weightloss and has reset some of those RNY feelings. Tastes, smells, textures are different now.
So far I have no regrets!
Best of luck to you with your decision!
Kim
