I have been banded for over 9 years, and there are times (beginning middle and currently) that I request someone to hide my scale. I keep trucking along and bam I gain or stall. And to stop me from getting discouraged or resulting to some quick fix (trust me I have tried them all even prescribed diet pills!!) I just don't weigh myself for 2 weeks. I keep focused with the program and do my best to ignore the scale. And typically after two weeks I am back in the losers bench. Good luck!

Thanks Nic, I'm feeling the same unfortunately . I'm sure the damage is done. My port has ripped lose from my muscle wall and is causing pain but I'll add it to the list of problems as I try to figure out options to get this thing taken care of without my insurance giving a care. But hopefully the blood spitting up will stop . Thank you for responding and caring !
I hit a 3 week stall and I went back to eating only 600 to 800 calories and lost 3 pounds in 3 days.when I uped my fat intake it did the opasit so I am back to 600 -800 calorie and 20 -30 carb a day and I started to lose again I am 4months going on five months out.
I was never even able to audibly belch before banding. Afterward I sounded like a dang freight train! The band's so close to the diaphragm... causes you to get hiccups, burps, etc. Don't feel humiliated. I'm sure you're not the first patient who has had this happen!
How are you feeling after the unfill?

My dr took the rest of my fluid out today... 5 ccs and as soon as he pulled it out I involuntarily and unexpectedly let out a large belch. I was humiliated and it came out of nowhere but it keeps on happening all evening . Has anyone experienced this craziness ....
Unfortunately, I am not allowed to write or discuss it. Thank you for all your help.
you wrote it on this forum.
Yeah, I saw the whole thing. I just was wanting to make sure I understood absolutely before responding, I guess. It's not every day you see those words strung together, you know?
