HAPPY FRIDAY EVE
Well, for me, it's not a particularly happy Thursday, although it is my Friday, so I shouldn't complain. Today, the official announcement will come out that the Governor is replacing my boss, Colonel Hutchins, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police, with Chief Terry Sheridan, of the Baltimore County PD. I know politics are ugly, but I'm truly saddened by this. Colonel Hutchins is a wonderful man - a gentleman and a gentle man. He truly cared about the men and women of our department, and I will really miss working for him. I'm sure there are bigger and better things in his future, and I've been very lucky and honored to work for him. Of course, the vultures from the media are/have been circling out front of our building since about 5:30, I know it's news, but it's also this man's life. Well, the only good thing is that now he'll have time to spend with his family and young children and unlike most of us, he'll have the luxury of choosing to work or not. I don't know much about the new Colonel, but I expect that I'll support him, too. I just feel so bad....
I'm off tomorrow - KB have a spring festival/sports day/dance demonstration - B in particular is NOT happy about having to dance - not even a little bit. I think if he could bribe me to get him out of it, he would! Then, tomorrow night, I'm meeting Heather Mod-i at Raffy's Bar/Restaurant on Belair Road to hear Floyd, Heather's sweet hubby, do karaoke. So please feel free to join us at 10!!! Heather said it's a cool place with good food. After this week, as long as the beer is cold, I'm there!
Saturday, KB are getting haircuts and then we have a bday party for my snobby cousin's 1 year old at their $1 million house in White Marsh. Although KB know how to act in public (for the most part!) you can bet I'll be keeping an extra-sharp eye on them. My cousin's husband really doesn't like other people's children, so it's going to be fun to watch his 1 year old ripping stuff off of tables and putting his mark on their house!! We're going to try to meet up with Heather Mod-i and Kylie at the playground, and from there, who knows.
We've got a graduation party to attend on Sunday during the day and on Sunday night at 7, Local Traffic Eye Candy is playing at Tully's, so a bunch of us, hopefully both Heathers and others will be there. Anyone wanting to join us, please do.
Somewhere in there I've got boatloads of typing to do, too. It's a good thing my Dad does my laundry, or I'd be nakie!!!
I talked to Terry yesterday, she is still in some pain, but recovering quite nicely from her plastics. Can't wait to see her flat belly!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!

Tia,
I was distracted by traffic and only partially heard the news report this a.m. when WPOC did the report about the Colonel. I was hoping that I misunderstood what I DID hear, but apparently not
. You were my first thought and the impact the change would have on you.
I'm trying to get things sorted out here. We have tax sale on Tuesday and we are down to the wire with the arrangements, etc. My part is the facility set up (room arrangements, computer equipment, etc) needs to be finalized and done by end of day on Monday. In the mean time, we are down the cashier position and have another out sick, so I'm headed into the cashiers area to see what I can do to help out. Let's hope I don't have to work a window!!!
I told Mr Mo that the new RV's name was going to be 'Reggie'. I got the LOOK!!! I'm thinking it's a good name, but it may take a while for it to grow on Mr Mo. I tossed the idea of going to Hagerstown overnight on Saturday out while he was still half asleep this a.m., so we might head out that way with Reggie on Saturday to the Hagerstown Speedway.
Got to scoot. Hugs & smoochies,
Mo I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
