Question for those a year or more out
I'm curious as to whether you still feel full on small amounts of food when you get further out. I know that the pouch will stretch and give some, but I don't know how much.
I assume that if you eat the way you're supposed to, that it will stay pretty small and you'll feel full on small amounts of food as long as you keep at it. Is that true?

Brandi,
I eat a little more than before but let me tell you I get filled up with a cup of food. I had 1 small chicken leg and 1 medium rib for lunch with 1 tablespoon of potatoe salad and I was too full. I actually didn't finish my entire rib.
So if it is dense foods you fill up quickly.
When I was one month post op I ate 4 oz or less of food and I was full.
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.

I tend to graze all day so as not to have stomach upset with a "full meal" (doc approves this due to my GI issues ) I still do not have hunger pangs and I am 2 1/2 years post op----but the "head hunger" that went away soon after surgery has been back for about 6 months!?! I can say I was able to eat only about half a bagel for instance a year ago and now can eat a whole one plain (even though quite full). I start sneezing when I am filled to the top. But I get fuller much faster if I eat only a high density protein like meat - maybe 3/4 cup max. I still have occasional issues with fiberous meats getting stuck in my stomach and need to bring it back up.
