Consult With My Surgeon

Hi everyone,

  I have a  consult date with my surgeon, Dr. Magnasun. I switched Dr's as I have met Dr. M. before and I decided to stay with him. My consult date is Aug. 13 @ 2:00 p.m. at Johns Hopkins/Bayview.
I know that my surgery will be soon after Christmas or even after the first of the new year, but I can wait, as I have no choice do I ??  I have no complaints about the other Dr.'s as they are ALL great. I wish surgery was over and I could see a before and after picture of me, but I will have to wait. Hope everyone is doing great.!!! :):)

Hi Ellen,

Congrats on getting your consult date. And, welcome home.

I'm going to cancel my date with Dr. Schweitzer; finally had someone to call me back and US Family Health Plan won't cover VSG. BTW, the 6 month supervised has to be with your PCM or a liscensed nutritionist. WW of JC won't work.

I'm not going to have a procedure that I don't feel is right for me (RNY) just because they cover that. So, guess I'll be self pay. Called Dr. Alvarez's office and they e-mailed the pre-op history.

I know Dr. Magnuson only does "open", but he seemed very confident about his abilities at the info seminar. The Holidays will be here before we know it.
