OT: Personal Rant
Maybe this should have gone on Rant and Raves? But I have never posted there.
I just need to get this out because I am so frustrated right now and it's only getting worse.
Okay.
Before I had my daughter, my husband and I used to go out just about every weekend. Of course now things have changed. I personally don't mind staying home most of the time. Although every once in a while of course I want to go out and have fun. BUT I constantly have to listen to my husband talk about all he does is work and sit at home. He never gets to have fun or get drunk. How f*cking immature is that? Am I being irrational? It just irritates the hell out of me. It's not like we didn't sow our wild oats. We are both 30 years old for crap's sake. He is constantly bothering me while I'm at work telling me how miserable he is. At this point I feel like telling him to go away, be single, and get drunk. UGHHHHHHHHH I just feel like screaming or punching something.

from how you have described things, both of you are very unhappy and disillusioned, which can definitely happen after younger couples have children. i'm a strong proponent of couples counseling. there is a high divorce rate amongst wls patients. everyone has different opinions as to why that is, but it's another reason you may want to consider counseling. marriage can be very difficult at times, but being a single parent in today's economy is very difficult too. hang in there and consider ways in which the two of you can take into consideration how both of you are feeling and find some compromises. good luck.
Hey Lisa ((((Hugs))))) Feel free to vent anytime. I would not be willing to post a Rant on Craigslist anyway with the immense amount of FREAKS! haha! Not that that is always a bad thing....lol.
Anyway I know it is hard on you and I can totally understand. My husband and I are both in our early 30's. We have been married over ten years and have had four kids. We lost a child in 2002 at the age of six and we feel like we are sooooooooooooo much older then we are at times. Its a part of life. My husband goes out with the guys maybe 2-3 times a month and I love that. He is such a devoted Dad and husband and I want him to get his breaks away. I dont go out that much because I am more of a homebody....UNLESS IM SHOPPING! haha But it is always a good idea to set "Date nights" to go out and get wild with hubby or even just have a romantic dinner. Date nights are crucial in every great marriage. You need that time to just EXHALE from stress. Kids are WONDERFUL! I would have had 10 more had my body allowed but we ALL NEED BREAKS!! Do you have a childcare provider in your area who does evenings and weekends? If you can find someone you trust while you go out it makes a world of difference. I run a home daycare and do nights and weekends on occasion for some of the parents to just get a break. A lot of times I keep the kids overnight until after the hangover fades. hahaha Check out my website below and I have a section with other providers as well. If you ever feel like you just NEED A NIGHT OFF shoot me an email. (((((Hugs)))))))) In the meanwhile it is always OK TO RANT!!! Love ~Jilly~

Ohh I didnt even know there was a Rants and Raves on here. I was referring to the one on Craigslist.org sorry. That one is always full of some SKEEEEEEERY STUFF! LOL I try not to visit that section of Craigslist. I stick to the good parts like buying and selling things to people right in my own back yard. That is the BEST about CL! LOL ~Jilly~

Hey Jilly. Actually, I'm sick as a dog. My twice-a-year upper respiratory infection hit me last Wednesday night and it's only sort of better. It's been total yuck this time around. I missed a great Maryland game yesterday with my hubby and today I had to miss How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Hippodrome with my kids.

Tomorrow, I need to drag my arse back to work, where we're laying off like crazy just before the holidays. It's a pretty miserable time right now. Sorry you asked yet? ha!
Things have been going well on the weight loss front though. I miss my running program right now, but there's no way I can do it with these germs running through me. So, I have that to look forward to in a few more days, I hope. The running helped me move past a stall I was in. Sadly, I think I owe another 2 pound loss to being sick... but I'll take it. ha ha
Read your other thread and everyone pretty much had said what I would have said. You know, those first four - six weeks after surgery go by soooo fast. Just take it one day at a time and you'll sail through. The quick weight loss will amaze and motivate you.

Sorry you are sick. I hope you get better soon. The children and I are sick here too. I love the fall but I just don't like when the kids get sick during this season.
Glad the scale moved for you!
