I'm hosting.

I went to NYC on the 26th with my granddaughters. We drove to Penn station in Newark and took the train. It was about $14.00 to park for the whole day and $7.00 for a round trip ticket into the city. It worked out well for us.

The trip it The American Girl Doll Place was wonderful. I did make a big boo boo though. When we were about half way to NYC I realized I left all the vouchers and tickets for the store at home. These were purchased in October for my gd's Christmas present. It cost me a total of $520.00 but was well worth it. Anyway, I had to purchase the whole kit and kaboodle again when I got there. I was almost ready to cry but I did not want to upset the girls. Thank God I had my credit card with me and had the money to replace them. I have since sent the tickets that I left at home back and hope there is not a problem with my refund. I told the girls that if I didn't get a refund it would be next years gift too. My older one said "that's fine with me"!

I've seen information on the American Girl Store, however I have grandson's and I don't think they would enjoy that very much.  A friend and I went for the weekend last spring and it was great being there for the whole weekend.  There's always so much to do.

Oh wow Gail.  I am glad you had a credit card to use. I hope they refund you the money.  That is a lot of money.
