MEAT PRODUCTS
Hi there,
This early out I only stuck to chicken, fish, shrimp & crab....
When I was like 5 months out I made pork chops in my crock pot and it was so soft and tender and juicy that I didn't have any trouble eating it. I also did the same with beef stew.
Good luck!
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Good Luck to you. ((((((Hugs)))))))))

I am almost 5 years out and I STILL have a lot of food issues mostly related to the dense protein in meats. Chicken is often not my friend, while others can eat chicken all day long. Pork/ham is very iffy for me. I can eat limited amounts of beef .. small bites chewed VERY carefully. I can eat shrimp all day long with no problem (as long as I don't take that one bite too many) and I've never had a problem with crabs. I never really enjoyed crab pre-op because I couldn't pick fast enough to satisfy my hunger. Now I can honestly say that I get full long before I'm tired of picking!
My doctor mandates protein supplements (i.e. protein drinks) twice a day for LIFE! Even when I am able to get sufficient protein from my food intake, I am to drink shakes. I have to admit that I am not good about that 2nd shake, but I do get one in every morning on my way to work.
As I said, each doctor is different. The end result of the surgery is the same, but our insides may be arranged differently based on the doctor's surgical style as well.
Best wishes as your WLS journey continues.
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Everyone has to try what their Nutritionalist suggest atleast to see if they can tolerate it. I have learned that milk gives me BAD heartburn even with Pepcid. LOL
