Prayers needed badly!!!
Good morning,
I'm not sure how many of you, if any, get the Philadelphia area news stations. But the town that I live and was raised, Coatesville PA, is in serious trouble. In 2008 there were 15 arsons and 3 people were arrested. However, since the beginning of this year, a little more than 3 weeks, there have been an additional 15 more arsons, with over 30 houses destroyed. Last night there was an entire block that was destroyed, 15 houses in all. It was a 7 alarmer that took over 3 hours to get under control.
Last weekend there was a fire that destroyed connecting row homes. This particular one hit home for me. You see, my mother lives directly next door to these two homes and her house received smoke damage and she was awaken in the middle of the night to smoke and flames on the outside of her kitchen window. She is elderly and actually thought it was her house that was on fire. The fire fighters evacuated her from her home and she still is staying with us at my sister's place.
This is a very serious situation and there are several town watch organizational meetings scheduled the next three days. I'll be attending tomorrow's meeting. The local, county, state and federal authorities are all in on the situation now. Unfortunately, there have been no arrests as of yet. My mom's best friend died in one of these fires back in December, so this whole situation is very real to me and my family. The hot rumor going around right now, and there are a lot of rumors that go around in a situation like this, is that this is gang related. Actually, when all the alarms went off last night my sister, her husband, my nephew and his friends all drove down town and my sister talked with a female officer who told her they think it is a mexican gang that are doing this to inititiate new gang members. That is just insane.
Anyway, if you could send out some prayers to the families that have lost everything they had to these idiots as well as pray that these thugs are caught, it would be greatly appreciated. WTH is wrong with the state government there?? I would have had cams everywhere and had those jerks behind bars already!! That is OUT OF CONTROL!!!! It breaks my heart to think of people losing all they have because some asshole is having a good time playing with fire! The govt better get their rears in gear!
Im sure your Mom was all shook up but thank GOD she was not harmed in any way. Im sorry that your Mom lost her best friend. I will say prayers but this is bigger then prayers. The govt is lazy if this has went on that long. If that were here those fools would have been caught by now.

Wow Andy that is horrible.
I am glad to know that your MOm is safe and her house did not catch on fire. I hope the police find these people soon. I will definitely say a prayer for your community.

OMG, Andy!!! This is horrible!! I was reading about it online - I'm SO glad your Mom is safe, but I'm sure she's petrified.
I had jury duty in September for a gang-related double homicide - it is scary stuff!!! Here's hoping the authorities expend every resource available to catching whomever is doing this.

Andy , This is unreal and it is so sad to see what the world has become. I am glad your mom is safe and I hope the police can find the crazy people who are responsible for this. What must they be thinking to hurt or even kill other humans. I will say a prayer for you and your town and I will ask for angels to be sent your way..Stay safe....
