Anybody catch that driver of that dump truck that seems to have rolled over me?  This mess hurts. I did get to meet Denise and we were in similar pain so I guess it wasn't just me. I thought I had prepared for the worse but those 1st 2 days were horrible. Any and everybody kept coming in to check something or ask something. It was really hard to get rest. Since I've been home it's gottten a little better. I'm going for now and I'll share the experiences with you all later. Thank you all for all the prayers and well wishes.

Welcome home Candie!!  I am so glad that everything went good for you.  Yeah I was in a lot of pain for a while too but it will get better just take it one day at a time.

Take care remember to sip, sip & sip and walk, walk & walk!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Oh I'm so glad to hear from you Candie!!!!!!  Yeah the first couple weeks will be your hardest.  then it's gonna feel like they didn't do anything to you at all LOL  I stopped taking pain medication the day after surgery because I never had much pain that was unbearable.  Just hang in there and don't forget to keep walking to get that gas out of your system and keep yourself hydrated.  Right now at this point it's very easy to get dehydrated so concentrate on getting your fluids in rather than protein.  I did it the other way around and I was severely dehydrated for the first few weeks after surgery and didn't feel too good.....was always dizzy.  Keep sipping your water!

*HUGE BEAR HUGS*  you loser!  :)

Welcome home Candie!  It does suck in the beginning but you'll be past it before you know it and as others have said, it is well worth it!!

Welcome Home Candie.  Yes the first two weeks are horrible but then you forget all about the pain after that.  Just focus on how good all that pain is gonna make you feel in a couple weeks.  You will feel better each day.  And good luck with all those nasty shakes and stuff!  Yuck!!
