Dr. Averbach Pre-Op Class

Has anyone else taken this?  What can I expect?

Any chance anyone is going to be taking it with me on March 9th?

*grins* Kinda nervous about what to expect from it, and what we will learn -- and if there is something I learn that I will need to "do" before surgery will it be to late, since it is only 9 days before my "date"...

Just starting to feel the nerves and questions coming on again...  LOL

It just basically tells you what to expect of the surgery, after surgery, what you can eat, when, etc...it's usually run by cathy carr, one of his nurses...

So basically everything from the NUT, etc. in a handbag... Good, I would be glad to have a refresher course!  I was thinking I was going to re read Arlene Swantko's book the week before surgery -- at least a page every time I get the urge to break the liquid diet!!! 

How are you feeling?  How is the losing going after your first month? 

yep, my two week surgiversary will be on wednesday the 25th, and I have lost over twenty pounds...so doing pretty good...the class is about 2 hours long but there is a lot to cover...it was very helpful...I had my class about a week before surgery....

Mine is scheduled for 9 days presurgery... The last 10 days will be pretty packed full of stuff to do, I have my EKG, bloodwork, and final appointment with my PCP that last week...

And then, S day! :)
