Morning Sylvie!!!

Don't think I had the opportunity to 'OFFICIALLY' welcome you to the Maryland Board, but I'm so happy you joined us!!!  We do try to get together periodically, so keep an eye on the board or PM me your phone number or email addy so we can get in touch with you!!

That is AWESOME on the beginning workout routine!!  It IS vital for us - or so I keep telling myself!!

I am SO glad KB are better - I'm so sick of the flu/cold bugs that are going around schools!!  What peeves me even more is that K initially got sick because her best friend came to school with strep!  Where are these parent's heads????????

Your hubby is a saint if he can do the graveyard shift - I SO don't think I could!!  Crossing my fingers that it works out for him!

Have a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

Thanks for the OFFICIAL welcome :-)

Hubby doesn't have to do the graveyard shift - oh just realized what you meant, the new job would be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Right now he works anythign from 8-5, 9-6, 10-7, 11-8, 12-9, 1-10 ... and weekends, so we rarely have days off together or dinenrs together either.

Sending you my email and phone via PM :-)

Morning all!

T - glad the kiddies are on the mend.  I cannot get OT or comp time right now. My company is very strict that if you work over one day you must short it in the same WEEK. I'm jealous that you can accumulate it. lol.  Darla it sure takes a special person to lead Sunday School. :)  Mo good luck at the dr!  Nessa - GL at the dentist and your last supper sounds delish.  I've been craving lobster.   Sylvie - hope your DH gets the new hours.  My Dh and I worked opposite shifts for years and it can put a damper on the marriage.  Now though, he's out of work so I'd kill for those hours again. LOL

Let me try to think of 3 things..

1.  DH and I put down a new bathroom floor this weekend.  I'm so happy I don't have to look at the OLD white and blue and stained floor that's been there for God knows how long.

2.  I got to see my nieces on Friday and spend some quality time with them. The oldest is 13 and driving her mom crazy; I'd love to take her as I feel I have a special bond with kids that age. (mentally I'm sure I'm not much older! lol)

3. I can FEEL spring is not far off.

Have a great day all!

Hey Ang!!

Me, TOO, for KB being on the mend!!  It's been a LONG couple of weeks!!!

I haven't been able to earn OT since 2006; now, I earn so much leave that I have to take a bunch or give it back - NO WAY AM I GIVING IT BACK!!!  In fact, I'm getting ready to put in a request for Easter week - crossing my fingers!!

Dontcha just LOVE the way the house looks when handyman stuff is done?  SIGH.  Now...to find a decent, reputable handyman!!  I'm so not a DIY'r!!!

Yes, yes, yes, spring can't be far away!!  I can't wait to smell the hyacinths!!

Have a great day!

Tia

Good morning!!!!

Oooooh, share that man, please!!!  Only for cleaning and laundry, you understand!!!  LOL!!!  That's awesome that you visit your grandma every day - I know how hard that can be emotionally, but also how rewarding.

Cira's the best, isn't she?  We've all been and are still in your boat, so we're happy to help!!  Keep up the good work!!  Being diligent and seeing results is motivation in itself.

So next time, keep that camera handy so we can see pics of your baby girl!

We're happy you're here, too!!  But.....................do you have a name?  If you've said it and I missed it, I apologize.  If you don't have a name, we can always give you a nickname, if you prefer!!

Have a great day!

Tia

Kinda busy this morning-  and wanted to blow through my grateful things - maybe I'll have more time to spend this afternoon to chat!

1.  I have two people interested in my other laptop (purple Dell not the Toshiba [that's already sold] ), and my new one is coming tomorrow!  Yay!

2.  Hubby managed to get the tree limb down from front of the house in VA; and the front door looks beautiful!  Mom managed to get someone there to replace the old wooden rickety ready to split door with the steel door we bought from Lowes.  It never had a window, and now it does and it's natural light makes the room seem bigger - so now I hope someone steps up and says I want to buy this house!

3.  I had a fairly restful weekend, and managed to get to work on time this morning.

4. I received an email from the federal gov't telling me that I qualified for the internship that I applied for, but that they selected higher qualified candidates.  I'm stoked because this was an old resume that I used and I still qualified.  I got a place to redo my resume and it looks more wonderful, and the feedback I had gotten on my old one was that it was more clerical based than administrative.  My other pending applications now are using the new remodelled resume.  :)
