3 THINGS FOR TGIF!!!

Good morning!!!  TGIF!!!  I'm a little uptight this a.m., Dad had some tests the other day and a friend who's in the know said for me to call - but not till after noon!!  I hate waiting, and I'm SOOO worried!!!!!!  He's not taking care of himself like he should, so I'm KIND of prepared, but still.....

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That my ex-SIL is finally able to pamper herself.  This week, she got a perm and a haircut, a mani/pedi and made appointments to get LASIK eye surgery.  I'm really glad that I was able to help her out by buying her daughter clothes and paying for both kids'  school yearbooks.  It does my heart good to see her taking care of herself.

2.  Chocolate cake - Yeah, I know, I know.  Bite me, okay?  I made one for my boss' bday and I AM going to have a small piece.  Not enough to make me dump, though.  I'm not a sadist.

3.  That I *think* I'm going to get a new 'puter this weekend.  I know I've been saying that, but I just haven't been able to corral my brother long enough for us to go to Best Buy.

4.  I get to leave today at 3 so I can get a crown and 4 fillings.  I mean, really, can you think of a better way to start the weekend?

Hope you all have a great day and an even better weekend!!

Remember to keep Heather's Dad in your prayers.

Hugs,

Tia

Tia - I hope your Dad's tests all come back OK. I know the waiting must be miserable.

How nice of you to help your ex-SIL out. Your good deeds I am sure are appreciated.

Good luck with the dentist. I need to call mine for an appointment soon!

I am working from home today because I have an MD appointment later this AM. So I will be off line until this afternoon.

Today, I am grateful for...

1 - A beautiful day. I can hear the birds chirping outside. The sun is shining. It is Friday.

2 - My trainer - I told my trainer how much I appreciate her last night. She showed up to run both of the usual Thursday pool classes even though she felt miserable. She could have called in, but knew they would not be able to find a replacement. She cared more about us being left without someone to lead the class than about herself. She is always like this. She tries to downplay how bad she feels, but when you have been around her long enough, you can just tell. As you have heard Darla and I speak about how much we enjoy her classes, you can imagine how much we would miss it if it was canceled.

3 - For all of you.

Actually, Deb, Dad thinks he won't get the results for another week.  I haven't told him about the message I had waiting for me to call my friend.  YIKES!!!!

Um....Deb, I'm always reminded of what a good soul you are.  I never hear a cross word about anyone pass your lips.  I hate to tell you, sweetie, that my bit about helping my ex-SIL was pure, unadulterated SARCASM!!  Look closely - I'm buying things for her children, yet SHE can get all this stuff done for herself?  This is a woman who pays their prescription maintenance costs of approximately $140 a month.  That's it.  She has them less than I, feeds them crap, etc.  Actually, I'm gonna stop right now, because I COULD go on and on.  Anyway, Sarcastic Tia at her best.  Sorry, honey.

I KNOW how much you absolutely live for those water classes.  What dedication that woman has.  Wonder if she's willing to share??

Have a lovely weekend.  Good luck at the doctor's!!!

Tia

Sorry Tia that I completely misunderstood. I knew how you felt about the one sister-in-law. But then again I thought maybe there was someone else in your life other than that one that you called sister-in-law.  Oh well, I always say that I would be the perfect "straight-person" for any comedian because my first reaction is always taking things at face value and always getting the punch line in a delayed fashion.

Thanks for straightening me out!
