Anyone left to recover alone?
For those of you home... Keep your phone handy - I am sure one of us here can come rescue you if you get into trouble and really need help!!!
I had no problems once I got home, I had trouble getting out of the recliner the first day, but after that, I was good to go. By day three, I was wishing everyone would go away and quit asking me if i needed anything... LOL

What's your number Angie, I'll put you on speed dial. LOL j/k
Seriously, I don't know how much I'll be able to sleep and sit for recovery. Ususally I'm only good for one, maybe two, days at most. I get back aches and very cranky when I have too much 'down' time. I always find a way to get up and do something. God, I'm a surgeon's nightmare huh? lol

Well, like Deb said, everyone's recovery is different. BUT.............I had my surgery on a Tuesday, came home on a Thursday, walked around Target (complete with hair and makeup) on Friday, was at the mall on Saturday and went to the movies on Sunday!!!! I actually started driving that Sunday - DVR says you can drive as long as you're not taking the pain meds.
Yes, you'll make it by yourself, but you won't be alone - we are just a phone call away.
You have a little bit of time - if you cook, maybe you can cook some things ahead of time, that way, the 16 year old can just reheat them for the younger kids. Ge****er, Crystal Light, puddings, broth, jello and popsicles before you go into the hospital. If you need something else, one of us can stop by and bring it to you.
Relax, it's going to be fine!
Hugs,
Tia
