3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY
Anyway, today, I'm grateful for:
1. A new high protein recipe that I've been tweaking. Depending upon the spices added, I'm thinking it can go either sweet or savory. Once I'm done tinkering, I'll let you in on it!!
2. That I had the restraint to not take a bat to MOTY last night. SIGH.
3. That Mom was home with Happy this a.m. Poor little thing, she gets SO freaked out by the t-storms, and her meds for that don't seem to be working as effectively as I wish they would. When I left, she was shaking and whimpering (Happy, NOT Mom), and Mom was holding her and rocking her in the chair!!! LOL!!!
Have a great day!
Tia
K and B are so lucky to have you Tia.
it was so humid this morning I broke down and put the AC on in the house... ugh.
been a bit busy the last few days...
tonight I am going down to Silver Spring to have dinner with some Girlfriends. we do this about once a year.... they are internet friends but we manage to get together now and then. Our common bond? we are all stepmoms....
things I'm grateful for:
1. my wii fit. did 30 minutes last night and the night before. I need to swim too but wii is better than laying on the couch
2. good friends and fun
3. that teenagers will grow up and move out.
Morning Ness!!!
Thank you!! I am so lucky to have my KB. You know, I NEVER pretend to be their mother, I'm always quick to correct people, because I don't want KB to think I'm trying to take her place. But sometimes........!!! I was on the bench last night and she was standing with another mother, about 5 feet behind me, and I could just "hear" her. It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up!!
The Stepmom club sounds like a nice outing!! It's hard raising someone else's child!
Good for you on the Wii Fit!!! Like I said before, baby steps. But revel in ALL your successes!!
Yes, teenagers move out, but sometimes, as young adults, they move BACK!!!
Have a good one!

That certainly was a close game - and I'm proud of K!
Poor Happy - I think you'll have to change her name to Skaredy Kat. LOL
Today, I'm grateful for the following:
1. I held down my dinner last night - Tia almost called the po-po on me when I said knives are my best friend on FB last night. Long story short I coasted with the lapband unaware of restriction for 6 months- until just recently when I had a fill. Now I know what that restriction is, and am learning to work with it, with a smug look on my face and a knife in my hand.
2. It's Tuesday - and I'm off tonight. I plan to go to bed early and sleep tonight.
3. I work at JCP every night starting Wednesday - I had fun the last two times I worked real shifts with them. I stayed on the floor and took it upon myself to really tear apart a clearance rack, pull all the stuff that didn't belong on there and arranged the items by size. I look forward to having the time to do that to the other racks. Nothing like having them neat and ordered. People tend to buy more things when they can find their sizes in one spot.
Morning Sorbi!
Yeah, we pretty much handed the other team their win in the last inning. Oh, well!!! It was a great played game!
Just the thought of YOU with a knife! LOL!!! But I'm glad you're learning. Little bites and chew, okay?
I'm glad you got the job at JCP, but just don't overdo it, okay? You always seem to go at 1000 mph, and I'm afraid it's gonna catch up with you! And......just so you know.....the racks will be all messed up again when you get there!!! LOL!!! I'm afraid I'd have to beat customers with wire hangers until they learned to put things back correctly! SO not good for customer service!
Have a great day!
