OK SOOOOOOOO, Its cover 100% BUT!!!!!, HERE WE GO WITH THE 6 MONTH OR 3 MONTH DIET PLAN THING.......


CAN SOMEONE THAT HAS BEEN THROUGH THE MARYLAND BCBS SAGA HELP ME AND MAYBE TELL ME ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE WITH THE WHOLE THING?

I have National BCBS... I went through the 6 month diet thing too. It's a pain, but it'll go by faster than you think. My only advice is to keep all paperwork! Things get "lost" a lot with insurance companies.

I have the State of Maryland Employee's BCBS - 6 months I went through - didn't seem too long for me.

I had Empire BCBS.  I did 6 months supervised diet, and it went by faster than I thought.

Also, it's 100% covered, but make sure your doc is IN NETWORK.  Mine was not, so they only paid 66% of the surgery.

i have bcbs marland hmo. they paid 100%, all i had to do was go to 6 months of appointments and show that i was attempting to lose wieght.( weigh the same or less at each visit) the doctor kept all the notes and paperwork, sent in the info, and i was approved on the first attempt with no issues.

it does go fast!

I have Federal BC/BS no requirements other than 40 bmi or 35 with co-morbidities.   OUR SURGEON however requires a 3 month supervised diet... and we ended up doing 4 months.  IT goes fast.  really.
