I had no idea! I haven't been to the OH site in ages. Today I decided to stop by and I see your message.  That nurse should be reported!  I am so glad that you are now home recuperating.  Wow 5 surgeries?  That is so much to deal with when you just had surgery.  I hope and pray you heal fast.

Wow Heather.  I'm glad you're doing better.  That's so scary.  Where the heck was your surgeon?  I've had two cosmetic procedures, both times on a Friday. For my LBL/BL, I saw my surgeon on the following Monday, again on Thursday and one day the following week; his specially-trained nurses were checking/tending my incisions and drains.  I guess your surgeon was comfortable expecting that your home nurse knew what she was doing (given her training), but you had some serious surgeries.  I would think that he/she should have wanted to check you at least once during that time.  I'm so glad that they were able to get the infection under control.  I shudder to think of what you would have been dealing with otherwise. 

Please God, I hope you are through the worst of this.  Take care of yourself and trust your instincts.

Wow  Heather sorry you had to go through with that. I would talk to an attorney though you could have died because of someones stupidity. Hope you feel better soon.
