I did not have the sleeve, however your doctor will tell you what type of diet to be on. For the first three weeks after surgery I was on a liquid diet. However, each surgeon is different.

Congratulations to you. I am only 5 months out and I do worry about the long term effect of the surgery. Could you share a bit about how you are doing physical and any encounters that you have experienced.

Great job, keep the good work up. I was told to wait at least 18 months before considering plastic surgery. The weight loss slows down, but continues for 18 months. It was good to hear from you.

Hope the recovery goes well. Just remember to stay focus, and to eat healthy. It would be ashame to back slid after all of your hard work. Good luck. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I am a patient of Dr. A and have Aetna and am going thru the process right now. I had my initial consult with him in January, nutritionist early February. Tuesday I go for my 3rd weigh in and early May is my 4th. Aetna only requires a 4 month weight loss program. I expect the surgery end of May or early June. So far very please with Dr A and his office. My nutritionist, Nancy Lum is very nice and helpful. Dr. Averbach answered all of my questions and seems nice.
