Topic: RE: No Go For Me
I just had my RNY with Dr. Mo at GBMC, I did not have a program fee at all, just copays from my insurance. He is a great doc, man of few words but good surgeon. Both my husband and I used him. I think you should try another Bariatric Surgeon and I bet you would have another outcome. Good luck and don't give up until you get the results you want.

Hi everyone!!
Its been a while since I have posted. School and life have kept me busy. I submitted my paperwork on Thursday and I am just waiting to hear back. I was told that lately my insurance company has been taking about 2 weeks to respond. I know it can be earlier or later. Right now, I am just praying for an approval.
I hope all of you are doing well!

Topic: RE: 7 Years...
Congratulations! Your story is very encouraging. I always hear that people gain weight back after abou 5 years. But you have proved that notion wrong. I will be 2 yrs post op in November. This is the best I have ever felt. I started at 286lbs and I am 183lbs now. I am still working on getting to at least 170lbs, but I am definitely not sweating that at all. I feel good wearing a size 10. But losing over 100 lbs is great! My eating habits have changed. Like you I don't eat and drink at the same time. I can pretty much eat anything, but only in moderation. Good luck to everyone else out there. You can do it and keep it off!
Topic: RE: Hi Maryland!
Hi, I had DBP surgery at GBMC in Aug 09 and DR. Lioa is the man. He is straight forward and tells it like it is. Listen to him he knows what he is talking about.
As far as successful,Id say yes. Ive lost 279 lbs from my worst weight of 569 lbs. I have gained a few Lbs back but thats cause I was eating everything he said stay away from.
Being nervous is something we all went through. Just stay the course and follow through with it. You WILL love the end result.. Im not saying its gonna be a breeze or the surgery is a magic bullet because its not. You will get out of it what you put in.
The first thing I noticed after my surgery is I didnt feel hungry.Which to me in itself was a miracle because I have food addiction.
Message me or email me if you need some advise. Ill answer you if I know or point you in the right direction If I dont.
Good luck
We will clear a space for you on the losers bench and put a reserved sign on it for you.
