My current job doesn't have health insurance at all and i've been looking for new jobs but no luck so far. I'm praying something will happen soon but as always it only happens in its own time!

I am sort of a lurker, I guess. I just haven't had much going on since I'm pre-op. Lots of waiting and jumping through hoops.
I am currently on my 2-week liver shrinking liquid diet and am having my surgery next Tuesday. I'm so ready to just get it over with and get on the other side of this thing! LOL
I do stop in here and read the posts but haven't had a lot to contribute yet. I'm sure post-op that will change.
I have not been to any support groups yet and know that I really need to do that!!

I called for a few days and finally got it all done. They submitted it to insurance and I had an approval from them within a week. They gave me my date before they submitted it. Now I have to wait to see what else I have to do pre-op. Only a month to go!

Im right there with ya. I have my last weigh in on Friday and my surgeon submits my application to insurance on Monday. My surgeon has penciled me in for May 3rd but I know thats just hope that all goes well. I won't be happy until we hear from insurance that I am approved and the surgery is scheduled in pen.

Hmmmm...wonder what ever happened to the exclusion of pre-existing conditions with the health care reform act? It's a bunch of bs that you're being turned away like that!!

I haven't been online much lately. I've had some major health issues (some WLS related and some not). Just got out of the hospital on Saturday after 4 days and now have a pending surgery due to a total pelvic organ prolapse. I'm also taking two college classes, getting ready to move and the usual work, kids etc. Got a very full plate right now.
Feeling discouraged because of all these health issues, the scale has not been moving much lately. I'm still eating good, but just not being able to exercise. I'm terrified that when I go for my 1 yr checkup in June, I will get that disappointed look from my surgeon. It's been a rough few months physically and I'm now restricted as to what I can do pertaining to exercise....it really sucks because I know that my window is closing and there's nothing I can do.
I'm in need of some support groups..it's just trying to make the time...I have very little lately.
